Chef line-up for Hotel and Catering Show

6th January 2010, 11:40am

Top chefs including Brian Turner CBE and Cyrus Todiwala OBE will be taking centre stage in the Cookery Theatre at the Hotel and Catering Show to demonstrate the delights of cooking with local and seasonal produce.

Taking place on Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 March at the Bournemouth International Centre, the Cookery Theatre will be sponsored by Unilever Foodsolutions, makers of KNORR foods, and The Bournemouth and Poole College for the fourth consecutive year.

Other leading chefs adding to the line-up include Mark Hix, chef proprietor of Hix Oyster & Fish House and Hix Oyster & Chop House, and Mitch Tonks, chef proprietor of The Seahorse Restaurant, who will be joining forces for a double act.

Claire Sullivan, marketing director at Unilever Foodsolutions, said: "We are delighted to be involved with this year's Cookery Theatre as it is a perfect platform to raise awareness of our products.  It will be exciting to watch these high profile chefs in action using our products and we expect to see some innovative and delicious recipe ideas that chefs can replicate in their own kitchens."

Angela Cox, director of Faculty of Service Industries at The Bournemouth and Poole College, added: "As well as sponsoring the Cookery Theatre at the Hotel and Catering Show, students from The College will be assisting the leading chefs in their demonstrations.

"In addition to celebrity chefs, the line up will include some great regional talent which will both inspire our students and help to build lasting relationships between education and business.  With the culinary talent and foodie prowess of the country's top chefs, visitors will be instantly inspired!"
