The new slimline buffalo steak burger has just 143 calories and 2.4 grams of fat, compared to 9.2 grams in a normal burger. The skinny burger is also lower in cholesterol.
The dish is made from hand-minced buffalo steak, mixed with onions, spices and herbs. The burger is dry grilled and topped with a baby gem lettuce leaf, cucumber and cherry tomatoes. It is decorated with sugar free salsa, raw baby shallots, and coriander cress and served in the centre of a glass plate.
It is available at the InterContinental London Park Lane for one week only, between 17 September and 22 September. The skinny burger comes with a glass of wild berry iced tea and is priced at £20.
Bates commented: "This is no oxymoron, I took time to develop something that really works; the skinny burger is perfect for fashionistas who want a tasty treat without the calorie guilt."
