Chef Tom Bradbury accepts top job at The Cornwall Hotel Spa & Estate

24th November 2009, 10:08am

Tom Bradbury is returning to his St Austell roots and taking up the role of head chef at The Cornwall Hotel Spa & Estate, a luxury hotel opening in February 2010.

The chef, of Watergate Bay fame, started his career at Catering College in St Austell before following the bright lights of the city to London where he took the position of commis chef working for Paul Gayler at the five-star Lanesborough Hotel.

Tom headed southwest and back to Cornwall after some years in the capital, starting at The Fowey Hotel where he worked for four years as second chef, before accepting the position of executive head chef at The Hotel & Extreme Academy, Watergate Bay.

Tom's latest venture at The Cornwall Hotel Spa & Estate will see him taking charge of the kitchen set up and the day to day running of both the Arboretum and Acorns restaurants, overseeing menus, ensuring consistency and productivity.

The latest addition to the Bespoke Hotels collection, The Cornwall Hotel Spa & Estate, due to open on 24th February 2010, is a secluded retreat set in 43 acres of beautiful Victorian parkland and is home to two restaurants, the Clearing Spa, fitness facilities and 22 luxury woodland homes for sale and holiday rental.
