Charlton House appoints business development director

Nico Prinsloo, former senior business development manager with Charlton House, has been promoted to the position of business development director.

Nico will officially start his new role on 1 April.

He commented on his new challenge: "Charlton House's annual turnover is now up to £70 million and with 180 contracts in our portfolio, our sales department is growing accordingly.

"I will still actively sell on behalf of Charlton House, Chester Boyd and Charlton House Restaurants, but my role will become more of a strategic one, focusing on how we approach new business opportunities and how we develop client relationships."

Nico joined Charlton House in 2001 as hospitality manager at P&O, and within six months he became catering manager. In January 2003 he joined the contract caterer's sales department.

The newly appointed director will continue to report to Alison Tyler, Charlton House's joint managing director, and will work closely with the business development managers Liz Cummins, Ben Mann and Kate Manktelow.
