The awards, sponsored by Greenhalgh Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors, are in their ninth year. They will be presented at a ceremony at Thornbridge Hall, Ashford-in-the-Water on Monday 8th November which will be hosted by celebrity TV chef Brian Turner.
Entries are invited from any catering business or service who use locally sourced food and promote it on their menus.
Derbyshire County Council's cabinet member for Regeneration Councillor Simon Spencer said: "Our awards help to showcase the top quality produce and food establishments across Derbyshire and we're proud to be holding them again."
The categories this year are:
* Derbyshire Restaurant of the Year
* Derbyshire Gastro Pub of the Year
* Derbyshire Traditional Pub of the Year
* Derbyshire Coffee House/Tearoom of the Year
* Derbyshire's Best International Restaurant
* Derbyshire Café of the Year
* Derbyshire Local Food Hero 2010
Venues are judged on a number of criteria including the quality of food and drink, customer service and use of county produce with acknowledgement of it on its menus.
Applications are available from Steph Walsh at Derbyshire County Council, 01629 538464 or e-mail stephanie.walsh@derbyshire.gov.uk and should be returned by 10th September.
