Carluccio's

30th July 2007, 4:59pm

Carluccio's Plc, the fast-expanding Italian restaurant and food business, has acquired prime sited premises opposite the River Avon in Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire, through the Birmingham office of Christie + Co.

The birthplace of England's greatest poet and playwright, Stratford-upon-Avon is an important and historic market town in Warwickshire. The premises are located at 13 The Waterside, within easy reach of the town's famous attractions, such as the Royal Shakespeare and Swan Theatres and Shakespeare's Birthplace.

The ground floor premises previously traded as Hamilton's Bar and Brasserie, comprising a 120-cover restaurant and 30-cover bar. Gavin Wright, director of Christie + Co, comments: "Hamilton's Bar and Brasserie was a closed business occupying premises in a prime position within Stratford-Upon-Avon, opposite the river. We successfully let the bar and restaurant to Carluccio's Plc, which now has over 30 units across the UK."
