As the transformation takes place, the pub's owner, Jon Bassett, is appealing to customers of the past to send in any old photographs they may have of themselves, friends and family to be used to create "framed pieces of nostalgia" on the walls of the pub.
"Renowned for its pre and post match and Millennium Stadium Event hospitality" the pub plans to unveil its new look today and promises there will be minimal disturbance to its usual trading pattern while the makeover takes place.
Jon Bassett, managing director of the JW Bassett Group said: "The Queens Vaults was my first outlet and is the group's flagship pub but it needed a freshen up to add a little bit more. I approached Tim as I have been impressed with his radical ideas and highly innovative approach."
