Barceló Troon Marine Hotel awarded prestigious AA Rosette

The Barceló Troon Marine Hotel's restaurant has been awarded its first AA Rosette after Kevin MacGillivray joined as head chef earlier this year.

The well-known Scottish chef is the first new head chef at Fairways restaurant for over 40-years and is the current president of the Federation of Chefs Scotland. 

General manager, Stewart Maxwell, said: "We are delighted to have been awarded an AA Rosette just seven months since Kevin joined the team. The hotel's focus is on quality food and fresh, local ingredients and the restaurant has a great local reputation. We are now looking to attract more visitors from further a-field." 

MacGillivray added: "When I was appointed Head Chef my main aim was to help the restaurant win industry awards and now that we have our first AA Rosette I couldn't be happier. I will continue to motivate my team and push for more awards. This time next year I want us to have two Rosettes."

The premium Barceló Troon Marine Hotel is situated on the West Coast of Scotland with 89 bedrooms, including 12 Deluxe rooms.
