BES Consulting partners with Marston's pub group

10th December 2008, 11:43am

BES Consulting has won a multi-million pound managed services deal with Marston's plc that will save the company over 20% on its property compliance costs.

Under the new contract, BES Consulting will survey and manage the compliance of over 2,000 sites nationwide.

In addition to substantial cost savings, Marston's will benefit from BES Consulting's expertise to reduce risks around statutory regulations covering asbestos, fire risk assessments and legionella and Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs).

The pub group will also gain from having a single point of contact to manage and co-ordinate requirements, a single service level agreement, proactive management of issues and a quarterly compliance dashboard.

BES Consulting's online property compliance manager will be used to simplify the storage and retrieval of documents and it will automatically create reminders about re-inspections – a critical but, traditionally, very time consuming process.

Christopher Sutton, group purchasing manager of Marston's, commented on the benefits of teaming up with BES: "Previously, we had a number of independent suppliers providing compliance services."

"This meant we lacked continuity of suppliers across our estate, we had varied service reports, missed the opportunity to benefit from economies of scale and wasted management time dealing with multiple suppliers.

"BES Consulting's expertise in property compliance, coupled with its experience of working with major pub chains, will help us better manage our estate – and it will save us money and management time."

BES Consulting, which has offices and surveyors across the UK, provides management solutions for statutory property compliance.
