BEACON APPOINTS ROGER ST JOHN AS DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Beacon, one of the largest purchasing solutions businesses in the UK hospitality, leisure and healthcare sectors, has appointed Roger St John its new director of Business Development.

Roger brings to Beacon over 12 years' business development experience gained with contract caterers Elior and Sodexo, as well 10 years in operations management within the hospitality industry, where he began his career with the De Vere Hotel Group.

His new role will see him focussing on purchasing and e-procurement solutions for group hotel and leisure businesses.

Chris Durant, Managing Director of Beacon, said, 'I am delighted to welcome Roger on board during this very exciting period of expansion for Beacon and during a time when hotel and leisure companies are really beginning to recognise the potential of strategic procurement on their business performance. Roger brings significant industry expertise and knowledge to Beacon, and he will be a true asset to our team.'

Roger will be based at Beacon's office in York.
