An expenses-paid trip overseas, a chance to do your charitable bit and a cut price dining experience – all up for grabs at GBK

20th July 2010, 9:57am

Visitors to Gourmet Burger Kitchen can enjoy a cut-price meal and the chance to win an expenses-paid trip to New Zealand – all while doing their bit for charity as the company brings back its “Quids In” campaign.

Diners who purchase one burger or main course salad at Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK) before the end of August will be entitled to a second for just £1 with the money raised from the second cut-price meal being donated to 95.8 Capital FM's Help a London Child campaign.

Help a London Child offers financial support to grass-root projects for London's less advantaged children.

To take advantage of the offer, consumers simply need to visit www.capitalfm.com/gbk and register their details, which will allow them to download the offer voucher, which is then redeemable at any GBK.

In addition, once site visitors have entered their details they will automatically be entered into a draw offering the chance to win a camper van trip for two to New Zealand with £1,000 worth of spending money courtesy of Air New Zealand, Tourism New Zealand, Pacific Horizon and Steinlager Pure.

Last year's Quids In campaign raised over £80,000 which allowed Help a London Child to provide financial support to at least 40 grass roots projects working with disadvantaged children in the capital city.

Help a London Child supporter and Capital Drivetime presenter, Greg Burns, said: "It's fantastic that GBK are giving Londoners the chance to be 'Quids In' again this summer. What an amazing incentive to get involved – not just a meal for £1 but also the chance to win a trip to New Zealand! Plus you'll be helping us raise much needed cash to make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged children right here in our capital city."

The GBK menu offers "a diverse range of delicious burgers and salads" including the 100% Aberdeen Angus Jamaican burger topped with "tangy yet sweet" mango and ginger sauce, and the Mexican which features spicy kidney bean salsa, avocado, mayonnaise, salad and "lashings" of sour cream.
