A taste of Italy with Carluccio's

1st May 2009, 11:44am

Carluccio's Italian restaurant group is offering its customers the chance to experience outside dining this summer with the launch of its range of Italian picnics.

Ensuring there's something for everyone, a choice of five picnics is available including two for vegetarians and one ideal for junior appetites.

Adult picnics are packed full of Carluccio's antipasti featuring chilli-stuffed olives, balsamic onions and ricotta and speck involtini (Italian wrap), followed by a buffalo mozerella and sunblush tomato salad.

Mains feature panfried, breadcrumbed lamb cutlets with lemon alongside chargrilled vegetables and freshly made Italian breads. To finish, people can enjoy a light lemon cake, biscotti and Gorgonzola cheese.

Toddlers can tuck into treats such as the salame Milanese (cold cut of meat from North Italy), tuna mayonnaise, small vegetarian pizza and beef and aubergine meatballs, along with snacks such as Venetial cows' milk cheese, celery and carrot sticks.

Sweet delights include fresh fruits and a teddy bear shaped chocolate cake.

All picnics will come complete with disposable cutlery, cups and napkins. Adult hampers come with a bottle of white or red Sicani wine and mineral water, whilst each children's picnic includes a glass of fresh juice.

Presented in a blue, re-usable cool bag, picnics for adults are priced at £45 and £10 for children.
