A quality 3 Star traditional hotel, with strong corporate trade, situated in the centre of the East Lothian coastal town of Dunbar, has been offered for sale through the Edinburgh Office of business agents, Christie + Co.

The Barns Ness Hotel has been extensively refurbished over the past two years to a high standard and comprises 16 letting bedrooms, a lounge bar, a 40-cover restaurant, a function room with a capacity of 50, a three-bedroom owner's flat, a large patio with seating to the front and a car park for eight vehicles. There is also a recently opened American-style diner occupying a self-contained unit, with direct access from the High Street.

Dunbar is an established and popular tourist destination due to its quality beaches and 20 golf courses, which attract golfers from all over the world. The hotel has a large corporate base including Torness Power Station, La Farge Cement and Crystalrig Wind Farm.

Ken Sims, Director at Christie + Co's Edinburgh Office, who is handling the sale, commented; "The current owners have developed a solid business at the Barns Ness Hotel, which benefits from year round trade with a varied income stream including leisure and general tourism along with the substantial volume of business coming from the corporate sector. The business is in a 'walk in' condition and there is excellent potential to enhance and develop the business further."

Christie + Co is seeking an asking price of £695,000 for the freehold interest of the Barns Ness Hotel.
