Highlands-based charities Albyn Housing and the Calman Trust have joined forces to try and secure funding for the 100 room hotel, café and restaurant, which has been modelled on similar projects in the Netherlands.
If plans go ahead, the hotel will offer vulnerable young people the opportunity to gain experience and qualifications in the hospitality industry by working alongside staff in running the hotel.
The organisers hope to have the building open by 2014.
