London Restaurant Awards 2008

1st September 2008, Grosvenor House, London

The 10th London Restaurant Awards sponsored by aAIM will be held on Monday 1 September at Grosvenor House and will be presented by Jack Dee and televised by ITV on Thursday 4 September at 11pm. The awards nominations will be announced on Tuesday 10 June.

The awards (categories to be announced) will be judged by a panel of London critics including Fay Maschler and Charles Campion of London's Evening Standard, Giles Coren of The Times, Jay Rayner of The Observer and Terry Durack of the Independent on Sunday.

AA Centenary Awards 2008

Following on from the success of the 2007 event, which was like a 'who's who' of the hospitality industry, the 2008 glamorous black-tie Awards evening will honour exemplary hotels, restaurants and people, including the sought after AA Chefs' Chef of the Year Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award.

British Cheese Awards Dinner 2008

26th September 2008 , Cardiff Castle, Wales

Highlight of the cheese calender and always a sellout, this year will be held in the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff.

World Cheese Awards

29th September 2008, RDS Simmonscourt, Dublin

For the first time in its 20 year history, the World Cheese Awards will take place outside the UK. The 2008 Awards will confirm the truly global status of the world’s largest international cheese competition when it takes place in Ireland this September.

Over 2,000 cheeses from the UK, Europe, the USA, South Africa and Australasia will be consolidated in the UK and freighted directly into Dublin for judging at the RDS Simmonscourt on 29th September.

National Final Gala Dinner

30th September 2008, Jumeirah Carlton Tower, Cadogan Place.

To celebrate the achievements of all 16 national finalists, the evening commences with a Champagne Besserat de Bellefon Reception followed by a sumptuous Gala Dinner.
